Joe Mortimer is a freelance writer, editor and photographer specialising in luxury travel, high-end hospitality and all things Latin America.
Former editor of luxury travel magazine Destinations of the World News, Joe has been a journalist and editor for more than a decade. He has worked for regional newspapers in the UK, a collection of travel and hospitality magazines in Dubai, and various contract publishing titles for clients around the world.
As a freelance journalist, Joe has contributed to leading travel and lifestyle titles including Robb Report, Tatler Hong Kong, ttgluxury, Open Skies, Oryx, Sur le Terre, Jetsetter, CEI Asia and The Cultured Traveller.
Joe has also worked with some of the world's leading hospitality companies on editorial projects ranging from coffee table books and brochures to websites, newsletters and advertisements; and he consults for corporate clients on communications and content designed to promote stakeholder engagement.
His blog posts have been translated into Spanish and Arabic and his travel photography has appeared in magazines including Open Skies, the award-winning in-fight magazine of Emirates Airline. Some of his travel photography is distributed by Shutterstock.
