BASED ON A TRUE STORY

TRAVEL WRITER // PHOTOGRAPHER //
EDITOR // COPYWRITER //

Joe Mortimer is a travel writer, editor, copywriter and photographer who specialises in luxury travel, high-end hospitality and outdoor adventure.

He has been a journalist and editor for 16 years, contributing editorial features and branded content to publications including National Geographic, National Geographic Traveler (US), Robb Report, TTG Luxury, The Cultured Traveller and Jetsetter. He is also Editor-at-Large for Destinations of the World News, a luxury travel magazine based in Dubai. You can see some of his work here

As a copywriter, Joe works with a collection of hospitality and lifestyle clients to create content for various channels: strategic editorial copy for newsletters and magazines, branding and marketing content for brochures and websites, and stakeholder/investor communications for in-house publications, all crafted to drive engagement, loyalty and brand recognition.

His travel photography has appeared in magazines including Open Skies, the award-winning in-flight magazine of Emirates Airline.

Joe has travelled the world and stayed at some of the finest hotels on the planet, but claims that nothing beats a night under the stars in Patagonia. He has eaten tarantulas in Cambodia, stinky tofu in Shanghai and flying ants in Mexico City, but prefers a slice of lemon meringue pie and a nice cup of tea.
