Joe Mortimer is a travel writer and photographer specialising in luxury travel, high-end adventure and all things Latin America.
Former editor of luxury travel magazine Destinations of the World News, Joe has been a journalist and editor for more than a decade. He has worked for regional newspapers in the UK, a collection of B2B travel and hospitality magazines in Dubai, and various contract publishing titles for clients throughout the UAE.
The author and project manager of Yas Island: Race to the Finish, Joe has worked with companies on editorial projects ranging from coffee table books and brochures, to recipe books, websites, newsletters, advertisements and periodicals.
As a freelance journalist, Joe has contributed to leading travel and lifestyle titles including Robb Report, Tatler Travel, Open Skies, Oryx, Sur le Terre, Jetsetter and The Cultured Traveller.
His blog posts have been translated into Spanish and Chinese and his travel photography has appeared in magazines including Open Skies, the award-winning in-fight magazine of Emirates Airline, and on the cover of several e-books. Some of his travel photography is distributed by Shutterstock.
